All our vessels are affiliated with the International Transport Workers' Federation and covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, ensuring fair employment terms for our seafarers — including competitive wages, reasonable hours, and essential benefits — reflecting our commitment to high labour standards and crew wellbeing.
Medical insurance for the family
We look after your family too. All Berge Bulk seafarers, as well as their spouses and children are covered by our group medical insurance. The Marine Benefits medical plan covers costs for treatment in the seafarer’s home country during leave, and for their family all year round.

Berge Bulk prioritises crew well-being, with ample recreation time for all onboard. A broad range of digital entertainment is provided via the BazePort system, giving crew access to movies, TV shows, documentaries, and news — with over 200 titles refreshed monthly.
Generous personal internet access
Recognising the importance of staying connected with loved ones, Berge Bulk provides onboard complimentary internet access of 10GB to all our seafarers. With the phased introduction of Starlink, the high-speed internet connectivity onboard is greatly enhanced.
Structured skills developed at sea
We own our ships and are proud of what we do. Our fleet auditors visit our vessels to provide training and, with the on-the-job competency matrix, we ensure that our seafarers gain hands-on practical experience during their training.
Medical assessment
Reinforcing our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our crew, we implement a two-stage enhanced pre-employment medical assessment process. This ensures that all seafarers exceed the necessary health standards before joining one of our vessels.
