Upskilling Our Galley Crew
We recognise that a well-trained Galley Crew plays an essential role in our mission to reduce food waste, so we launched a suite of online training material on the Berge Bulk Learning Management System (LMS).
This online Galley Crew training package — designed for our Chief Cooks and Messmen as part of our Great Taste Less Waste campaign — includes more than 100 training videos.
These bite-sized training videos (2-5 minutes each) cover a variety of important topics to help the galley crew avoid food waste. Topics include meal planning, portion sizing, inventory management, creative ways to reuse leftover food, and more. The online training material is available for all Berge Bulk Chief Cooks and Messmen, and is a required part of the onboarding for new hires.
