Berge Dachstein joined the Berge Bulk fleet on 16 January 2020. The 208, 718 DWT vessel was built at the Imabari Shipyard in Japan and sails under the flag of Isle of Man.
She is a larger sister ship to the Berge Sarstein and shares one key feature: the Aerocitadel. The superstructure is designed for optimal aerodynamics and improved anti-piracy measures.
The vessel is named after the Hoher Dachstein, the highest mountain peak of the Dachstein Massif in Austria.
