Berge Toubkal
Berge Bulk welcomed Berge Toubkal, an addition to its safe and energy-efficient fleet. The 210,000 DWT vessel was delivered on 29 September 2017.
She joined sister vessels—Berge Zugspitze and Berge Grossglockner—as one of the largest bulk carriers in the world. Like many ships in our fleet, she was equipped with an efficient super-long stroke main engine, optimised for low-fuel consumption. Other special features include the installation of exhaust gas boilers for the generators and an upgraded anti-fouling system.
Berge Toubkal was named after Mount Toubkal, a mountain peak located at the Toubkal National Park in southwestern Morocco. At 4,167 metres, it is the highest mountain peak in North Africa.
